Creating a branding guide to unify HGC's marketing material.

Creating HGC’s Branding Guide

The Harvard Graduate Council, previously known as the Harvard Graduate Student Government (HGSG), is a student government representing all twelve of Harvard University's graduate schools. HGC is responsible for advocating on behalf of graduate students before the school's central administrators, including the President of Harvard University and the Provost's Office.

Because HGC is an overarching organization that represents all twelve Harvard graduate schools, we hold, support and market copious events held throughout campus. However, the absence of branding makes our marketing content feel less cohesive and unified.

My responsibility on the council is to work alongside Nima, the information chair, to build a design system from scratch. After a few months of collaboration and hard work, we present to the council— the branding guide!
