Hey there! I’m Andy ☺️
I am a Lead Designer for IBM and currently work directly with a VP, director, and distinguished engineer to transform crucial experiences at IBM. I’ve also previously worked on an award-winning intranet platform that affects 350,000 IBMers worldwide.
Originally from the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I moved out east for school, where I went to Cornell for undergrad and Harvard for grad school. Prior to design, I had a background in academic research, and have been fortunate to have participated in research at institutions such as Stanford, Harvard, Cornell, OHSU, and Lewis & Clark College.
I also work for two non-profits. I am part of the UI/UX Leadership Team for Out in Tech, an organization that unites and supports the LGBTQ+ tech community. In addition, I am the Alumni Relations Lead for Minds Matter Portland, an organization that helps First-Generation/Low-Income high school students succeed in school and prepare for college.
Outside of work, you can find me hiking in the mountains, trying new recipes, growing an army of avocado plants because I never want to throw away the pits, shopping at Costco while wearing my Kirkland Signature sweater, or staring out into oblivion because I’m in a state of constant daydreaming 🤤
